The Preserving the American Dream conference brings together experts and activists from all over the United States to exchange ideas about land-use and transportation issues. Whether you are dealing with smart growth, light rail, Agenda 21, streetcars, sustainable planning, traffic calming, or any of a number of other forms of social engineering, you will find this conference to be incredibly valuable.
We held our first National Conference in Bellevue, Washington in 2009. Then in 2010 in Orlando, Florida. Regional conferences were held in Hawaii and Washington state in 2011 and 2012. The last national conference was held in Orlando in 2010, and the papers and PowerPoint shows from that conference are available on line. PowerPoint shows from the 2009 conference in Bellevue are also available.
The 2013 conference was held in Washington, DC, giving people an opportunity to meet with their congressional delegation while they are in the city.
For 2014, we met in Denver Colorado, where we discussed “Sustainability vs. the American Dream.”
For 2015, we are convening in Austin, Texas to focus on “The Future of Affordability.”
