NPR on A Desire Named Streetcar

NPR's Weekend Edition interview on public transit with yours truly played this morning (January 28) and can be downloaded from NPR's web site at the above link. The interview is based on my Cato Institute report of that title.

Comments:
I listened to your NPR interview, and one point was of particular interest to me. As someone who is currently unemployed, I would be thrilled to participate in the initial phase of the Money Over Wyoming Program (please see my resume -- crumpled and gathered from a pile of waste paper deserving, too, to be tossed from a plane over a remote part of one of our larger, less populated states).

One thought. If the money is to be dispersed haphazardly (and loose, not bagged) over a large area, it will be necessary to have a method of transporting the workers to the area where the money gathering will take place. Perhaps a fleet of buses, or, if there aren't very many money gatherers, a rail system.
